About

I'm Chelsea Stewart, a brand, product, and experience designer building identity systems for companies that need to show up clearly and scale without losing themselves.

I grew up in the Southwest, mostly New Mexico and Arizona. It's a part of the country that teaches you to look at things over long time horizons. The landscape there is the visible record of slow forces. Wind, water, pressure, repetition. You can stand in one place and read centuries of decisions in the shape of a canyon wall. Nothing about it happened quickly, and nothing about it happened by accident.

That's the lens I bring to brand work. The most durable things get shaped slowly, by forces that are patient, consistent, and clear about their direction.

Soccer was the other half of my early education. I played for most of my life, and it taught me how to think inside a system in motion. You anticipate a play three moves before it happens. You know where people are without looking. You move at two scales at once, the next pass and the whole field, and you don't get to choose between them.

The formal education came next, and it ran across some of the most rigorous programs in design and design thinking. The Bauhaus. RISD. Harvard. Brown. And finally my master's at the School of Visual Arts in New York, in the MFA Products of Design program. Each one of those traditions approaches design from a different angle. Bauhaus through form, function, and discipline. RISD through craft and material intelligence. Harvard and Brown through theory, systems, and the ethics of how things get made. SVA through the working practice of design itself, applied to real problems at real scale.

What stuck, across all of it, is a single way of working. Principle-led, systematic, and connected. Every decision sits inside a system. Every system sits inside a larger one. Nothing is decorative, and nothing is loose.

That's how I work now. I build brand identity, product, and environmental design as one connected framework. Different scales of the same question: how does a company show up in the world, and does it hold together when you look closely?

I do this for global companies, high-growth tech teams, and early-stage founders. My work has spanned aerospace, prop tech, retail, media, beauty, climate, civic tech, and independent businesses. Clients include Nike, Spacial AI, and others across the same range.

The shape of the problem changes every time. The way I move through it doesn't.

If you're building something that needs to be clear, cohesive, and built to scale, let's talk.
